Dear Customers,
At ExpoWest on March 14-16, we introduced four new products to
the Xlear family and to tens of thousands of people attending the
show. While the products are not yet available online, they are
in the process of being distributed to retailers across the country.
Check out our store locator to find your closest Xlear retailer.
The products that were introduced include a new Spry green tea
flavored gum, a new kids Xlear Nasal Spray with Xylitol, and a
new 0.75 oz size of Xlear Nasal Spray. We also released our Spry
Tooth Gel with a specially designed infant pacifier. The pacifier
features a small reservoir that can hold a small amount of the
xylitol-rich tooth gel for effective distribution. (Include links
to press releases about products)
We will be sure to include more information about these products
in the next few issues of Crystal Xlear.

Dental health is constantly
threatened by unavoidable destructive factors. Sugar is
high-energy fuel that nasty bacteria use to produce acids,
which destroy teeth and gums when left unchecked. Germs
that cause tooth decay can even grow on popular sugar substitutes
such as sorbitol and mannitol. So why are these ingredients
in your toothpaste? It is time for something better--xylitol.
What is Xylitol?
Xylitol is a versatile natural sweetener with remarkable
health benefits. It is found in fruits and vegetables,
and produced by our bodies during normal metabolism.
Xylitol has a delightful sugary taste. Since sweetness
is the same, xylitol can be used as a direct sugar replacement.
Diabetics can use xylitol because it is low calorie (40%
less than sugar) and low glycemic (Glycemic Index is
7).
The structure of the xylitol molecule is related to sugars
(with "-ose" ending such as sucrose, fructose,
and glucose) and is a first cousin to other polyols ("sugar
alcohols" with "-ol" ending such as sorbitol,
mannitol, and maltitol).
These common food carbohydrates are built on a 6-carbon
backbone. Xylitol has a very stable 5-carbon architecture,
giving it unique properties. Unlike sugars (and to a lesser
extent other polyols), xylitol is not a good food source
for bacteria and yeast. Sugars promote tooth decay whereas
xylitol acts as the natural dental antidote for sugar,
blocking those harmful effects and building protective
factors.

Xlear Product Testimonial
"I've
just gone an entire winter without a cold, throat infection, or
sinus infection. The only aspect of my health-care routine that
has changed over this time has been starting to use Xlear products
(nasal wash, mints, and toothpaste). For my whole life I've
had problems with my sinuses and throat, so this is quite an improvement."
"Steve S."
For 2008, if we share your story with fellow Crystal Xlear readers,
we'll send you a Xlear Product Pack with samples of some of Xlear's
most popular products.
